  1. hi,

i hav a mov file, according to the """good"" tutorials i have converted the mov file to avi, and i have winproducer to convert these files to mpeg2 and then write them to SVCD.

but my problem is that the *.mov file resolution is 800x340 in widescreen without black top/bottom black bands, if i make mpeg2 file in 720x576 the picture is stretched!!!

    what should i do???

    THANKS IN ADVANCE.

I haven't used 'winproducer' but all the encoders I have used have a 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' option when encoding - if you can find this setting it should encode correctly, with the black bands.

  3. well there is a easier way, if you have tmpgenc goto the tools of vcdhelp download, scroll down to MPEG2 and MPEG1 (VCD,SVCD,DVD) Video Encoders, and download the TMPGEnc Mov Plugin and u can then do .mov to svcd with no hassle.
