  1. I read about capturing, and at some point it is said that you're hard drive must be set to DMA... How should I do that ???

  2. DMA is direct Memory Access.. to check to make sure yours is turned on follow these steps:

    R-click MY COMPUTER
    L-click PROPERTIES
    Click the device manager tab
click the plus next to DISK DRIVES
    D-click your hard drive
    click on the SETTINGS tab
verify you have check mark in DMA

    IF NOT:
put check mark in, click OKAY
Click OKAY and restart your computer...

When back to desktop, verify the check is still in DMA and now you know your dma is set (should be always, its faster)..

IF THE CHECK IS NOT THERE:
Your hard drive is not dma compliant, and I would really suggest you buy a new hard drive, because your hard drive is way behind the times....(And slooooow)

NOTE: Verify DMA is also set on your cd-roms, they too have dma capabilities...

    Hope that helps...
