DIVXMPG4 V3.......wont play...

i just <edited - see rules>" and it is compressed in in DIVXMPG4 V3, and the video will not play in anything, only audio. I have the: Divx codecs, Nimo codec pack, indeo video, and xvid codecs currently installed, but still only the audio plays. If all else fails i always try the trusty "Radlight" player but even it didnt want to touch the file. Is there something i dont have or is the file just a piece of shat ?

Try using GSpot to find out the codec information.

Well, as far as I know this error description from other people, your file probably has an erronous header .

Open it with VirtualDub and see if it gives an error message about it .
If it does, open the file again, select the extended open options menu, and in there, set rederive keyframe flags .

Let VDub work .

When it is finished, set audio and video to direct stream copy, and save .

It could also be that the wrong codec is used for playback .

Open the file with WMP and have a look at the file playback properties .
