joining divx/xvid movies

VirtualDub can cut and join DivX/XviD apart or together.

If you run into problems, then use nandub. It tends to handle them better at times (VBR namely)

if you just want to join them for converting to vcd or svcd you can just use avisynth.

Well, I use avisynth a lot, and it can handle segments, but to say it's the way to go... It's more of a processing tool than a joiner, say.
