Ok I know D-VHS is not optical storage, but I need help.
I now have a JVC D-VHS and I can't use any of my capture
programs to capture or print to tape from the IEEE1394 port.
So far my search has turn up one program that will pull HD from a HD pre-recorded tape.
Well that's nice but not what I need.
So in the off chance that some one here has knowledge on
this subject, please post a reply
Thanks.

decks purchased in Japan were easy and the dvd ports are bi-directional and reconized as plug in play by win XP ...
not so for decks sold outside japan and require a little more work to get them to work ..
here is the site that tells all .. but basicly plan on running XP and forget it if running on a MAC
