yes it is possible. there are a few programs that will do this but alot of people run in audio out of sync. i believe tmpgenc will do it. i do this sometimes by renaming the vobs of 2 movies so that they in order and then demux with vobedit to get the 1 audio track and 1 m2v track. this works well and the audio seems to be in sync.

if you are authoring with maestro just stick the 2 back to back in the same timeline and it works fine. i have done this a bunch of times.

I just did this the other night with tmpgenc.
Worked perfectly.. I put all 3 svcds of catch me on a single dvd.
Just used the merge function in tmpgenc.
Btw, I suggest you merge them as mux'd mpegs, then de-mux them
and stick them in maestro or the authoring program of choice. Keeps the
audio in sync.

I just got my DVD burner and are battling with learning how to use it.
TMPGenc causing most of the problems.
