  1. After capturing and encoding a whole series of videos to MPEG 1 video with dvd audio(48KHZ) I authored and burned it using Ulead Moviefactory. Most or all of the episodes, the audio is out of sync when it is played off the burned dvd. I tested the non-burned mpeg files on the computer and they play fine. The episodes start off synced but then gradually get out of sync. Any suggestions or a recommendation for other dvd authoring programs that can accept mpeg 1 files other than Spruce. Thanks

I tried burning it on memorex dvd-r and maxell dvd-rw, both have the same results.

  2. Mpeg-1 is an accepted format for DVD, so there is no need to re-encode. However, the resolution must be 352x480 or 352x240 or 720x480. If it's not, any authoring program will re-encode to a compliant format.

I haven't tried it but I think that you can set the options, so that Ulead DMF 2.0 doesn't re-encode your compliant mpeg files. The re-encoding of the files might be creating an out of sync problem. TMPGEnc does a better job of encoding or re-encoding files. I have had out of sync problems when using the Ulead DMF encoder (which uses the Ligos encoder).

PS Here are the DVD specs:

  3. Its 352x240, i suspect the problem is when Ulead multiplexes the video, is there anyway to stop this?
