I use dvd decryper to burn one layers. this works great. I have made about 100 single layers. The dual layer dvds are being very tricky. I use dvd decryper and ifoedit. I then use nero to burn. The problem is it plays in my cpu, but not in a dvd player. What is the deal. I know when I test in ifoedit the thing works great, no menu just the movie, everything is perfect. I must not be burning with nero right... ANy suggestions would be great. If there is more freeware out there to do this another way I would like a description of how to do it and what I need. Any info would be greatly appreciated guys.....

Basically, if it doesn't work on your PC, it doesn't work on a standalone player.
However, if it does work on your PC, it *should* work on a standalone player, but that's no 100% guarantee.
Although there are official DVD specs, there's still too much room for incompatibility between manufacturers of standalone DVD players, PC and software developpers.
Besides this, there is a fair chance that probably authored the disc incorrect

i have heard both good and bad things about nero. i personaly dont like nero to burn cd's let alone dvd's. I use Prisimo that came with my pioneer burner works great and i have never made a coaster wtih it, except when i screw it up
