Quick tutorial on DVDA.
Open, drag vid to the workspace.
Double click vid, it opens in a new workspace with a timeline view. Press M to drop markers at desired chapter points.
You can also insert chapter points in Vegas 4 during the render of avi or MPEG, and DVDA will read them. These markers are also editable in the Vegas Trimmer.
Press Backspace to get back to the main editing workspace.
RIGHT click the video to insert a SCENE menu. This opens yet another workspace, showing the chapters you just inserted.
Press the PREVIEW button in the middle of the upper screen. It will open your nearly complete DVD project.
NOW for the magic.
in the PREVIEW window, while working with the DVD menu, press teh "COPY TO CLIPBOARD" button on the right of the preview.
in VEGAS 4, press the split screen preview button, and from the drop down menu, select preview CLIPBOARD and you'll see the DVD menu appear, capable of being seen on an external monitor. You may have to draw a square around the entire preview window, depending on the settings you last used for the split screen.
you MUST have video on the timeline in VEgas to see the DVD menu.
