I have read loads of rubbish on the internet that tell you how great Evidence Eliminator is and I was just wondering if it actually works?
Now I understand that people can spy into your computer and see whats on your machine and I was wondering if this would totally erase 'evidence' from your machine. Say I had illegal copies of films on the machine and my house was going to be raided in a week or so, would evidence eliminator make me safe? I hear they can read whats on the harddrive even after you rescrambble data using electro microscopes and there is a fuction on EE that does some 'magic' to wipe it. How good is this data? I know its very far-fetched and its unlikly anyone would ever get raided, but how could they tell your downloading films if your privacy is suppose to be kept secrete?

Programs suck as that do work, Tweak XP, Norton, they all have erasers.
Basically it writes over the file many times, and yes it's hard, sometimes impossible to recover.
Note, the only true ways to protect ur data is to use a powerful magnet or destory the drive. -
Ok cool - It seemed to be doing pretty well though... Ill try the TweakXP see how that works. Ive always wanted to make some sort of booby trap so if someone else tries to open the machine it destroys it... Any ideas? This could be a new topic - ways to destroy your hdd if it was raided by the police. My idea - fix a deodrant can to the machine that sprays when the case is opened and then a spark burns the machine up... bit far fetched but still
