    For some reason I can't get tmpg to open my huffy captured .avi's. Is there something I have to change in the environmental settings?? thanks!

    What kind of error are you getting? I use iuVCR software to capture using the Huffy codec, then i simply tell TMPEGEnc to open the AVI I just created and it works with no problems. what version of Huffy & TMPEGEnc are you using? I have Huffy 2.1.1 and TmpegEnc 2.59.47.155(hacked of course)

    If you use huffy in yuy2 colour space, you can try and untick the box for directshow media. from options-->environmental settings-->vfapi plugins
    RGB you must have directshow enabled yuy2 works without. Don't know if this will solve YOUR particular problem but it takes 5 sec to try
