    Hi ppl,
    I've got problems with a few of the AVI's which I try to convert to MPG.
    With 2 AVI's the screen turns black after a few mins of normal converting and only the audio remains! Converting goes on, but no video anymore.

    A 3rd AVI gives after a short while an error and converting stops.

    Anyone ideas how to fix this?

    forgot to mention that the avi's are all divx.

    Using TMPGENC to convert.

    Sounds like you may have bad frames which are causing the video to freeze. Scan the file for bad frames using vdub, if bad frames are found save the file with a new name and it will be saved minus the bad frames.
