  1. Hello
    I want 2 convert a svcd 2 vcd.
I have done it loads of times be4 and never had any problems.
Now the problems start ( I had 2 do a reinstall of my OS)
I use the lasest TMPGEnc and dvd2avi
    with dvd2avi everything is alright.
I the load the .d2v file as videosource, the .MPA file as audiosource, load the vcd template, the unlock template, change the settings the way I want the and then hit the start button.
    And the...
TMPGEnc just shuts down. It closes itself, it leaves the building, it is gone.
And it happens the moment it starts coding (I know that, çause it changes it window 2 the same size as the movie and realy makes a .mpg file, this file is only 0 bytes long)

Has it got something to do with the VFAPI enviromental setting? I don't know, but I really need help.

    grtz and thnx

  3. Using XP pro as well

    Found the solution.
It's the MP2 plugin that gives the problems, but not the cyberlink plugin, but the other one. (forgotten it's name, and TMPGEnc is working right now)
Disable the other mp2 plugin and everything works.

If you need more help, let me know.

    grtz

  5. Options/Environmentalsettings/VFAPI-Plugin and then deselect Ligos MPEG-2 decoder.
    That's it.

Normaly its the cyberlink that gives problems with TMPGEnc + and its the Lisos filter that is working.

    Cyberlink
    Ligos
    Sony

Are the only supported filters in TMPGEnc + 2.59

  8. This is also an issue when trying to resize Mpeg-2 files. After sucessfully converting avi/wav to an mpeg-2 stream and wanting to reduce it's size by reencoding the bit rate, an unsupported file error box pops up.

I will try the Ligos solution posted below
