    Hi!

Does anybody know if TMPGEnc can be launched in shell mode or command line mode for batch processing? And if so, is there a list of commands and operations?

I know that TSCV (VCD authoring program) uses TMPGEnc in shell mode to encode of bitmap images to make an animated mpeg for VCDs menus.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    YES!

TMPGENC batch list processing is great. All you have to do is open your .avi file, choose your settings and add the convertion to the Batch List. After adding several clips you can start the batch conversion and let TMPGENC enconde all your clips. It's great for overnight convertion!

    Regards,

    Jose

I don't know about a shell mode, or a command line mode, but I have been using batch mode more and more.

To use batch mode open the project wizard and setup an encoding job.
On page five of the project wizard there are two check boxes:

    Start encoding immediately
Create another project(s) for batch encoding

Keep adding projects by checking "Create another project(s) for batch encoding".

On your last project of the batch check the "Start encoding immediately". Then the batch job will start.

Thanks both of you for the replies.

But I think I didn't make myself clear. I need to make several demuxing and remuxing from a series of mpeg2 files. I'm using the "Mpeg Tools", in the File Menu to demux the audio stream of the file, for further conversion to wave files.

Then I need to split the stereo wave file into 2 separate mono files, reencode them back to mpeg audio (mono) and do muxing again with the video stream to make a 2-channel audio mpeg2. It's a lot of steps, that's why I need some batch processing to avoid the need of the long boring wainting.

I still need some ideas, but thanks anyway!
