I created a VCD using Nero 5.5 which has built-in mpeg1 encoder from an AVI-DV file.
The resulting VCD has only clicking noise, about once a second; picture is perfect.
The AVI-DV files plays perfectly on PC.
I use the same AVI file to make SVCD using Tempgenc, it plays perfectly.
I also created a mini DVD using Mediostrean NeoDVD, again-- NO SOUND !.
What went wrong with the AVI-DV file conversion ?.
Here is how I get the AVI-DV file.
- Shoot using Canon Elura
- Download to a Mac G4 and uses iMovie to edit
- Upload back to Canon; I assume at this time all the Mac flavors (QT etc) are gone.
- Download to PC using Ulead studio 4 SE
* Set the preferences to AVI DV type 1 or 2, 48 KHz sound
Does Ulead use a special sound codec that is not recognized by either NERO of Mediostream NeoDVD ?.
Thanks in advance !.
