Sub Titles

I've been reading I know that you can put sub Titles with a movie. What my question is how or can you seprate the sub titles from the movies.

Use SubRip (I think that's what it's called).

You can extract the individual subtitles as bitmaps with a text file referencing them (in a variety of formats) or use OCR to extract the actual text.
