For all of those using TMPGEnc for converting DV cam captures to VCD, make sure that you set the "Samping frequency convertor" under the Audio tab of the Environmental settings to "High Quality"
This will eliminate that tinny, metallic sound that many people complain about.

For people using older versions tmpgenc that don't have that option, they can install ssrc as the sample rate converter in tmpgenc. The tinny/metallic audio question comes up quite frequently on here. It's too bad that more people don't stop to search the forum before they ask, they'd find topics (like this one) that tell them exactly what they want to know.

I've got the latest version, 2.59 and I don't have that option.
