  1. Ok, I recently upgraded to TMPG Plus so I can have mpeg2 SVCD's. When I view them on the computer they look great, well worth it, but when I burn them to CD (80min)...my DVD play won't read them. I checked out the manual and it says that i can play VCD's and SVCD's. I've tried encoding with the SKVCD template and the standard templates that come with the program but am still getting problems. I even tried the header trick in VCD 2.0 and still nothing. If anyone could give me tips or ideas if i'm doing anything wrong, I am forever in your debt. Thanks!

Please specify make/model of your DVD player.

Have you checked the comments for your particular DVD player in the DVD players section at: www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers ? Have you tried CD-RW disks? Some DVD players don't work well with CD-Rs.

  3. I did also check the compatibility list and my dvd player says it's workable with cd-r's and SCVD's. Unfortunately it's still not working for me.

"Have you checked the comments for your particular DVD player in the DVD players section at: www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers ?"

From the "Comments Section" of the DVD players section Kevin Brown stated:

"Wow, I've had this for a while and only recently found out it can play SVCDs by using one of the latest versions of Nero and by clicking compatibility options under SVCD options, and selecting the MPEGAV directory (Yay, Nero supports it now! [for those of you that said it didn't in earlier posts]). "

Most VCD/SVCD burning programs have this as an option including VCDEasy.
