NeroVision Express Error 255

Just bought Nero's DVD encoder and tried to use NeroVision Express to burn DVD and it failed twice, indicating error 255 as follows:

I use a Pioneer DVD-R drive and am able to burn DVD using Ulead MovieFactory. Any clue anyone? I sent a note to Nero and will post their response to help others with similar problem.

For everyone interested Nero has responded to my emails but have no clue why NeroVision Express fails to burn DVD from MPEG file burnt with TMPGEnc as error 255 being reported. They told me to do a clean install of Nero and NeroVision but same error appeared!!!!!

I guess we all have to wait until next upgrade in January.

I wanted to chime in here. I have the Cendyne ver of the Pioneer DVR-105 and I also just got NEROVISON and bought the MPEG.

I'm getting a 255 error also

The mpg files I'm trying to burn were made with Power VCRII. I was able to burn a DVD of these files using the MyDVD that came with the drive, but THAT DVD doesn't work right (The files are on the disc and the disc plays, but the menu system doesn't work -not relevent to this thread - just wanted to mention it - I'm obviously early on in debugin hell )

I get the 255 error in NERO's simulation mode, so the media isn't an issue at this point. Anybody got any clues ?

my problem disappeared after I installed latest version but quality is not good. in conclusion you and I wasted money.

i believe Nero is trying to be a player in the DVD world but needs more work...
