Hello All
I want to report on my progress switching from DVD-RAM to DVR-105
Started with 256MB-RAM, 27GB HD, 500Mhz G4, with AGP
Upgraded to 384MB-RAM, added 60GB Maxtor HD
upgraded to 9.1 and then 9.2.1
upgraded system firmware
installed OSX10.2 and upgraded to OSX10.2.3
purchased DVR-105 from ESBuy for $252, and received it today. It came without Pioneer packaging and without
warranty card. I suspect it may be a gray market unit.
installed drive and burned first CD in less than 30 minutes. No problems whatsoever, drive was recognized immediately, and contrary to some advice toast was not required to burn the first CD.
I cannot give you an update on the DVD function because Apple has not shipped my IDVD order. I will let you know how this function works in a couple of weeks.
