  1. Well, the title says it all... anyone know if it is possible to play a DVD-R on the XBox if you have the DVD media kit from Microsoft? I've got the kit and a HS2, but have not been able to play anything besides shrink wrapped DVD's on the unit.

    Thoughts?

  3. I went there and looked and found nothing about playing DVD-R's, but I will search at Google and under X-Box and mod chips to see if I can find an answer. You wouldn't think you should have to mod your X-Box just to play a movie.

  4. I presume your in the U.K The answer is that the X-box will play DVD-R's without being chipped. Yes you need the remote control which costs about £20.00. But remember you still need to burn with the right program and be using the right media...................''

  5. Do you know which programs work, I know you can't burn with NERO, what burning programs do you use and does have to be set to burn as a DVD video or a DVD-Rom, if rom can you use 1.50 or does it have to be the older 1.02 version in the UDF settings. What Media is the best.
