    Hello everyone,

    I have an mpg file. When I open it in Windows Media Player and I get the error message access denied. I have tried to convert it with TMPGENC but that does not recognise it either. To the best of my knowledge all of my codecs are up to date.

    Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    It may be mpeg2. Have you tried installed a dvd player like PowerDVD? if so you should be able to play it media player and to open it tmpgenc.
