  1. i tried spliting the video from the audio on an mpg file with this but i can only get it to split the part thats on the screen how do i get it to split the whole mpg file??

    Do you mean, you want demultiplex, so you get video and audio seperatly? Then use TMPGEnc >file > mpeg tools> simple demultiplex.

  4. ok i tryed that i loaded the mpg file and selected where to put the audio and video but when i hit run it says illegal video stream whats wrong??

  5. ok what other programs will split it because i got it working but it only splits 42 min of the video then it stops respaonding and i have to end task on it?

    Ok, I'm having the same problem. Anybody have an answer? TMPGEnc prematurely stops its demultiplex operation only partway through an mpeg. I'm guessing something's corrupted in the file at that point, though it does play fine all the way through. Any ideas?
