Ok, I've been very succesfull in burning DVD's with Nero 5.5.9.17 and 5.5.9.14 but they have all been demo versions and when the trial is up I uninstall everything but after re-installing the .exe it still tells me that the trial has expired. So basically I can't burn anything right now. I tried Record Now Max but got 2 coasters.
I tried Nero's 5.5.100 but got three coasters, after reading some posts I found out that alot of people were having problems with this new version.
    I want to burn using Nero's 5.5.9.14 or 5.5.9.17
What can I do? I still have the .exe files if it matters.
Please help. I have some movies on my hard drive that I have to get burned ASAP.
At this point I've fallen in love with Nero and would'nt mind paying the money for the full version but I would get the 5.5.100 version and I dont want that, I want 5.5.9.14 or5.5.9.17
Thanks for any and all reply's.

  2. If you purchase a Nero license, you wil find that it will work with all builds of Nero, and even if, for some reason, the new license serial refuses to work with older builds, I am sure an e-mail to Ahead.de customer support will sort that out very rapidly and painlessly!

  5. Well, let's face it - a genuine Nero license can be got from a computer fair in OEM packaging for about 10 Euros, and that is SO cheap, it's not going to hurt your wallet at all.

The main problem with Nero has been the udf mode which is easily solved (read the relavent threads) for the pioneers (at least through 17, I've installed 10 but haven't burned a DVD-Video again yet), but I don't really know about the sony burner. If you burn data or CDR at all you'll want to have Nero anyway, so pick it up.

If you're having coaster problems, get some DVD-RW and experiment. While my pioneer player has trouble reading DVD-RW sometimes, it still saves me wasting a DVD-R every time I test something.
