  3. Firstly make sure you have the Xvid codec installed (obviously ), You might need an AC3 audio codec too. Tmpgenc should then have no problems encoding the files....

    I have a movie file that needs the Xvid codec, which I installed and the file plays fine in WMP.
    However, when encoding this file I initially got sync problems. I solved this by using VirtualDub to extract the audio into an uncompressed .wav file and then loading the .wav file as audio source in TMPGEnc.
    So far so good, but this surprisingly introduced a new problem: I now get an MPEG file with fine audio but partially missing video! Every few seconds, the screen goes black for a short while, then the video comes back, disappears shortly after, etc.

    My experience is that converting xvid's to Mpg's, done with Panasonic are easier to do, 99 % succesfull. Just a note........ for all the rest........'course I use Tempgenc.
