I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on this because I'm stuck.
Running Win2k SP3 with Windows Media Player 7.1 and DivX 5.0.2. Also have Nimo Codecs installed.
Several of my downloaded video files will play in MediaPlayer only if it is full-screen. If it's playing in a window, the video freezes although audio plays fine. I've tried playing it through VirtualDUB and it plays fine.
File info through VirtualDUB lists video codec as 5.0.1, and audio codec as Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer3, which means it's not AC3 audio.
The problem is, when I convert with TMPGEnc, I end up with a file that plays video fine, just NO audio at all.
Is there something I'm missing? I've tried stripping the audio back to wav and encoding that way, but no change. I know the track is there, it plays beautifully through MediaPlayer at full screen.
