  1. I downloaded both parts of "Triple X"(the one with ac3). I had no problems converting the first part to VCD but I am having audio problems with part 2. I extracted the audio(direct stream copy)in virtual dub, renamed the file to audio.ac3. Then checked the file using ac3fix(said it found bad sectors), and finally ran the fixed audio through headac3he. I noticed a long string of crc errors during the process but it continued to process the file. The resulting wave has no sound. I repeated the entire procedure with the same outcome. Is there any way to fix this file? The original movie plays perfectly on the pc.

  2. I tried a tip that I read on this forum and it worked. I just loaded the downloaded movie into tmpgenc. Then changed the "direct show multimedia" to the highest priority. Tmpgenc accepted the entire video, ac3 and all. I was able to convert the video and burn it as a VCD. The movie works nicely on my DVD player using this method. Hope this will help someone else.
