I a n00b ripper. And I was wondering what is the best way to rip, especially like music vids and stuff. I tried two different ways so far, capturing them to AVI , then changes them to mpeg, and second way is jus capturing them right into mpeg with the program that came with my cap card. When i capture right to mpeg with tv wonder, the picture turns oput really nice, but the sound if very faint ,and with a hiss. And when I capture into a huffy AVI, then turn it to mpeg, it gets very blocky. I f anybody can help me with my tmpgenc settings, ty. No matter how i set them, I always get bad blockeage when theyre motion. Also, is it bad ripper adiquette to leave vids in AVI format?
