Sorry one other question. What is the best program (and where do I get it) that reduces the files enough to get them on one DVD. I have been messing with a few movies and almost all of them require 2 disks. (I understand DVD9 and DVD5)
Can you really notice a quality loss?
Thanks again

You need to get an encoder like TMPGEnc or CCE.
quality will depend on how much you try to compress to one disc.
