If I download a movie off the internet and it doesn't have good quality can a convert it to some other type and mak it show better. When i say doesn't show good I mean it has like squares or something when I try to watch it at full screen. I'm sorry I can't explain it better than that. I real new at all this. Thanx[/b]

  3. in the guides menu at the top of this page, look for a guide that says something to the effect of "converting low res 320x240......". Cant remember what it is called off the top of my head, but what you can do is put borders around the picture so that the source size is kept. I believe part of the problem is that you got the free to distibute file on the internet and it was a low res divx (a.k.a. avi) file. When you "blow" it up on your TV it looks like crap. Doing what the guide says may make it look better.

  4. Once the data is gone, you can't get it back. but you can run tons of noise reduction, and blur. While this makes less detail, it takes out the blocks (considerd detail).

You can't make a bad source look better.

Just producing with a DivX codec blends most of the pixels together unless the source file is real bad.
I like the version the best.
