Okay. I am trying to rip my first dvd into a svcd and am using the smartripper-flask-tmpgenc method as it is a HK film where I need the subtitles.Everything seemed to work properly until I started up Tmpgenc. The encoding process started and showed that it would take 156 hours. I read others had this and it would eventually go down to normal during the process. I then noticed that there was a percentage running in the back for the flask program. Should both of these programs be "running"? I was under the impression that frameserving just keeps a window open but there would be no flask activity. Anyways, I checked it this morning after about 8 hrs and flask said it was 82% done but tmpgenc said 4% done with 150 hrs left. I don't know what was going on so I stopped everything, and checked the mpg file that was being created. It was the majority of the movie so why the 4% from tmpgenc? Any ideas if both programs should be running like that?
