In total between kids and me there 4 stand alone dvd players (not including ps2 ,xbox) in the house, i have a couple of dvdr films witch region 1 these play on 2 dvd players as there are multi region. So i ripped the on to hard drive and made region free so they would play on kids. But the one i made region free now play on the kids dvd players and ps2 but the region free machine wont look at them. Does anyone no a reason for this.
I used dvddecryptor and smart ripper with several option ticked and i use nero to burn back.

quite possible that your dvd player(s) and your dvd-r media are not compatible. some players are better than others in reading burned media.

I have other films on the same media which work no problems. I have also found that if i reverse the region hack on the dvd and make it region 2 again the film fires up no problems it must be some thing to do with the region free. May be the player need a region code of some sort.
Cheers for the replyM8.
