  1. I have been trying to convert very large 300MB and up AVI files to DIVX in VirtualDub, I have tried all sorts of compressors in VirtualDub 3.11, 4.0 4.0beta and so on, even tried Huffy. When I start the preview or the compression, the file size does not diminish, it stays almost the same, very very large. Its like the compressors are not having any effect on the files. The AVI files were captured at 29.97fps in VirtualDub with no compression using Planar MPEG Raw format/Yuv9 codec. Anyone have any idea why the files are not compressing. I have compressed large files before with VirtualDub, I mean huge files over 900MB and they came out to like 1.5MB with DIVX. I think those were with MPEG encoding though. Help please.
