I get soooo many of these SPAM emails it's pathetic. NOW I get this
offer from some SPAM email that says you can make a DVD without,
I repeat, WITHOUT A DVD BURNER! Here it is:

    http://www.dvdbackupbuddy.com

Any thoughts? I thought a DVD burner had special lasers to burn the
info into the DVD, which itself had special layers. Go figure.

Ahhhhh. I was so upset at the SPAM that I did not read further until just now.
It states that the CD burned will be a VCD or SVCD. SOOO, unless you
read the fine print you will be making quite a few CD's to backup
    one DVD.

Sorry. I guess if any mods see this they can delete it.

read the small print -- it makes VCD's and SVCd's

What DVD Players Will These Copied DVDs Play In?

DVD Backup Buddy allows you copy DVDs in two formats. VCDs, and SVCDs (for more info on these scroll down to a later question). Both of these will play in ANY computer DVD player, and most standalone DVD players will play one or the other. Your DVD player's manual should inform you which it supports, most DVD players released in 2002 or later support both.

and if you read farther (really buried) .. you have to rip the dvd's yourself first and even do other stuff on your own ...

. To complete the process, 3rd party software titles are required. While these downloads are free, and we provide links to help you find them, we provide no guarantees that you will be able to find and download them for free, nor do we guarantee they will work as described in DVD Backup Buddy
