Nope definitely not possible. The only way to switch subs or audio tracks is with the relevant buttons on the remote or sometimes through the dvd player's main menu.

You can sort of simulate this kind of selection through menu's though, but its alot of work for not much return. Also it doesnt work so well for the audio selection. Let me explain...

    For subs:
Make a still picture (use any picture editor) that has something along the lines of...

    Subtitle: None

Encode this to mpg, you can just drop it in TMPGenc and then load a dummy audio track of whatever duration you want. Make sure its at least 4 secs long.

Now make subtitles that list what each of your sub streams are and add them to the mpg in their relevent positions....let me explain.

Say your first Sub stream is English. Make a subtitle that says "English" and make it the first sub stream for this short mpg you have created for use as a menu. Your second subtitle is Spanish, make a corresponding sub and make it sub stream 2.

You will need to edit the x and y values so that these subs overlap where your background menu says "Subtitles: None"

    So how this works....

By default you have no subs activated. When you go to the menu you just see the regular screen which says subs:none. When you hit the subtitle button, after a few secs, a subtitle covers up the None and instead says English. If you now start your movie you still have subtitle stream 1 activated so you will see your English subs. So you toggle the languages in the menu and they correspond to what you get in your movie. That's about as close to a subtitle selection menu as you can get on a VCD or SVCD.

As for audio, just use the same principle. Make an audio track which says like, "English Stereo", another that says "director's commentary 1 Mono", and then "directors commentary 2 Mono". Make the menu loop and just toggle the audio streams like you did with the subs. Its kinda silly hearing "english stereo" over and over again so that's why audio selection doesn't work so well.

If you try to use these techniques then good luck, its alot of work.
