I need help !!!!!!!!!!!
Here is my problem
I wanted to backup my xmen dvd but since the movie is larger than 4.7GB, I had to reencode the movie and a couple of extras
For the extras, I used Rempeg then ifoedit in remux mode since they are not that long. No problem for that
Then since CCE files can not be remuxed with ifoedit, I used ifoedit in dvdauthoring mode
The original xmen vob has 3 PGC. when I reauthored the movie, the ifoedit generated and ifo file which has only 1 PGC.
Since I was stupid at that time, I deleted the generated ifo file to use the previous one which has 3 PGC
Then I got the VTS sectors, region free, etc.... and burnt the dvd
It works fine on my computer but on the dvd player it does not start.
It looks like it is locked on a title or trying to find something
I had a look at the ifo file and for me it looks like it is a mess
In the PGC-1 description, I have the different chapters but I have more than it is supposed to be.
The running time for the movie is 100 minutes but the PGC description shows that it is 147 minutes
So I double-clicked on each chapter line in the ifo file with ifoedit to preview the file and then I noticed that after chapter 16 or something like that (chap 16 is supposed to be the last chapter since I have the credits), there are some more chapters which look like a duplicate of previous chapters
I am guessing that my reauthoring did not work or I messed up the ifo file
Also all my dvds I have backed up so far using the CCE method + reauthoring with Ifoedit are screwed
They work fine on the pc but not with my player
All the ones backed up with Rempeg are fine
so it is not a media problem but definately the way I am trying to remux and reintegrate CCE files in the DVD structure
If I used ifoedit to create new ifo files, then I can watch the movie but I lose the extras
So is there anybody out there who could tell me how to fix this problem without losing the extras ?
Basically it would be fixing the movie vobs/ifo files and reintegrating them in the DVD structure but I don't know how now......
Thanks
