  1. I have tried to drag mpv files to DVD Maestro v. 2.5 but it gives the message "assets is greater than maximum allowed". Have anyone some explenations for this. It would really help me a lot since I havent found other programs that can join mpv with AC3 streams.

    Best Regards

Yes you are wright ... but the problem is when you will author a DVD and burn it with AC3 audio quality. I have made many (S+V)DVD's encoded with TmpEnc and that works fine. Now we are moving to a higher level with DVD burners it is a must to use AC3 audio. Again the only software I know of that can mix mpv videofile with AC3 audio is still Maestro - so back to the problem ......

  4. The "assets greater than maximum allowed..." error is commonly associated with non-legit builds of Maestro - in other words, there is an un-cr@kd dongle protection giving rise to this error. There is no 'cure' for this error other than to buy a dongle or find an alternative build. Since this forum prohibits w@rez discussion, I think we should leave it at that.

  5. I have upgraded to version 2.9 and now it works. This is a nice application but not perfect since it cant use vob files even not if I change it to mpg-files.

    This is the scenario:
I connect my DV camcorder to my external DVD recorder via firewire. This DVD wish I to make a little fancy with menu's, cut and edit and maybe join it with other recordings.

So what I would like to do is to take these vob-files directly from DVD, do the editing and burn it without several hours of encoding.

Applications like WinOnCD 5 and Ulead Movie Factory can read the vob-files but can not handle the AC3 audiostream.

There must be a application somewhere that can do all above??

I know ifoedit can do a lot but even this has its limit and the gui interface is not the best.

  6. I ran into the same problem with version 2.5. Apparently version 2.5 is not compatible with Windows 2000 or XP. Version 2.9 is.
