  1. took a 25.00divx encoded it to 23.976 using tmpgenc with do not framerate convert option, stretched the audio, multiplex, etc. Perfect mpg VCD playback on the comp by windows media player 9. Burn to VCD(nero) put in standalone. Plays well but then it will suddenly speed up thus getting out of sync. Then it will slow way down to get back on pace. Usually happens only at fast motion scenes but only some of these scenes and sometimes in just slow scenes. What could be the problem? I even put the cd in the pc still works great. I am thinking possibly a fault of the standalone not correctly playing NTSC Film framerates? Does this sound reasonable? Any other ideas

Oh yeah it also has blocks of red and blue in the background on and off during the movie, again only on the standalone. I cant really explain it better than that. They are somewhat faint but easily spotted at the same time. What do you think? Bad video file? it doesnt have this stuff on the computer monitor. Also the DVD player is running through an RF modulator to the tv if that could affect anything

  3. Since nobody seems to want to answer this, how about some software maybe that would let me test to make sure the disc is ok, compliant and all? some software that would act like a real dvd player possilby so i could see that it is not the disc or video since i have no other dvd players to test it on. Or is anybody else having random speed ups on 23.976fps vcds? ANY input would be appreciated.
