  1. Hi people - hope you can help.

I am having great difficulty getting PS3 to recognise audio from my conversions.

I am using 720p MKV file - H264/DTS. This is what I am doing (after many days of googling).

    1) Tsmuxer - demuxing video and audio from MKV file. I am left with h264 and dts files.
    2) Converting dts audio to ac3 (also adding speedup and downsample to 2-channel) using command "eac3to example.dts example.ac3 -speedup -down2". This outputs an ac3 file as promised.
    3) Muxing to m2ts using Tsmuxer, changing frame rate to 25fps for video.

When i finally play this on PS3 - video is fine, it also recognises AC3 2 ch audio - but it is STILL out of sync.

Is there any other method to speedup the ac3 file?

The reason i downsampled to 2ch is that every single 5.1 audio track i have tried isn't recognised.

I would really appreciate any advice on this .

Why are you doing "speedup"? just because you are "GB" doesn't mean you have to change to PAL.
    Try this:
    install this: http://www.dvduk.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/_files/rebox.NET.beta2.zip
right click the "mp4" button, select "TS", your file will be converted and ready to play on the PS3 in minutes.

  3. I am speeding up because my tv doesn't properly support 24p and suffers from judder. Any local files/streamed files to ps3 default in 60hz. Converting to 25fps forces PS3 to run in 50hz, which would result in smooth picture.

    I will check the link.

    Hi flexx

I have the similar requirement and use this https://www.videohelp.com/tools/GOTSent, thick the "25 fps OUTPUT" from the GUI and it will speed up the movie for you. If you copy the files through a FAT32 HDD then this app can also split the files to smaller then 4GB for you.

Only thing is I don't know how this would output surround sound as I output stereo only.

    Hope this helps
    Cheers
