The header trick isn't gauranteed to work with every player, however I believe that overflow error you recieved is normal. So I'd say that the trick won't work in your player.

What other options do I have to make my DVD player (Mintek 2580 that can play raw mpeg2 file but it does not support SVCD) to play SVCD ? I tried this TMPGEnc trick but it didn't help. I believe I saw somewhere some tool that can change something....
Or am I doing something wrong ?
