    im lookin for a dvd player that plays vcd/svcds with no problem. I was looking at Cyberhome 500 but now after reading the new reviews im thinkin of the 402 model but my mind is still open. On a budget so i need something cheap. I dont really want an Apex because i want somethin that actually looks good next to my TV. Any Suggestions??? Please

    I own the RCA RC5240P and I'm very happy with it so far. ( 9 Months ). Plays all my VCD / SVCD / MP3 etc.

    you can search the philips dvd634, it plays SVCD VCD CDR cDRW, it is a cheap dvd, around 180 euros

    I have had the Apex 5131 for about 4 months now and haven't found any model to beat it's price and features. If you have a Sam's Club membership or know someone who does our local store carries the 5131 for about $90. 3 disc carousel that plays anything I have put in it. CD, VCD, SVCD, MP3, DVD and DVD-R that I recorded in my Pioneer 104.

    i would go with the Daewoo DVG3000N it plays vcd and svcd flawlessly and is not picky about media.it also looks pretty sharp.http://www.world-import.com/daewoo.htm it sells for 79.99 on sale constantly at the wiz (Jersey)i picked up 2 for 59.99 for x-mas presents at shoprite
