I have a raw file I want to convert to mpeg while putting subtitles on it.
I open vdub, click ctrl+f---->add---->subtitler---->ok---->selected .ssa script file----->ok---->ok---->file----open----selected video file---->start frame server----->saved .vdr file.
Then I open tmpge. I click browse for video file and when i select the vdr file and click ,ok, it says "File "c:\blahblahblah\blah.vdr" can not open, or unsupported. Can someone tell me whats going on and how i can correct this? Thanks

try too :
1)open virtual dub by axsetup
2)unistall handler
3)delete the tmpegnc progrem
4)reboot ,restart your pc
5)install tmpegnc
6)open virtual dub , axsetup install handler
if now its still not open the vdr file open tmpegnc close the wizrad and go to Options->Environmental Settings->vafpi plug in and put the direct show multimedia in priority 1!
tell me if its hleped u ? -
If you get an error message when opening the video or audio like file unsupported
or you get an empty(black) video preview window
or the video look wierd in the video preview window like green or purple or pink
Be sure that you have installed the DivX Codecs (both DivX 3.11, 4 and 5) and also try with the Nimo Codec Pack. If that does not work try to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and try open the video.Hello. -
try rename the .vdr to example blade2.vdr.avi in Virtual Dub and the start tmpgenc and open up the blade2.vdr.avi in video source.
