I have ordered a Sony DRU-500a but I hear it can only rip DVD-Video at 4x.

I was thinking of getting a LiteOn DVD Reader but i'm not sure what the DVD-Video ripping speed is.

What would you recommend for DVD-Video Ripping? and what speed does your recommendation rip DVD-Video at?

    Thanks to anyone that helps

Lite-On 16X DVD-ROM drives make great DVD-Video ROM rippers. They rip between 4X and 8X normally for me.

Avoid the newest Toshibas (and some others) that are locked to rip DVD-Video (CSS-protected) ROMs at 2X.
