I just got Ice Age which contains both full and widescreen versions. Both version are only about 3 gigs a piece. Is there way to rip the entire movie and just delete the version I don't want? I tried that with Like Mike and it would play the movie fine but when I navigate through the menus, it gave me errors in IFO Edit. This would save alot of time because if I delete the widescreen version it would be small enough for eveything to fit on a single dvd+r(menus included). Please tell me there is a guide to do this because it looks like it is very simple. Thanks

  2. Hi there. I'm trying to do the same thing but not having a whole lot of luck yet myself. Not with the movie you listed but one with the same setup.. Taking just the movie and chapters and putting that on a DVD-R is easy.. But why eliminate the menu if you don't have to..

Here is a guide on Doom9 that explains how to do what you want but good luck figuring it out! I have tried but with no success yet.

I would like to see someone elses guide if there is one available as I find this one a littlle confusing..

Let me know if you have any success.

Yes, vob set 7 is normal and vob set 8 is widescreen, or vice versa. Rip accordingly.

  4. I just finished Ice Age and 8 is full screen and 7 is wide.

And when you rip full screen version with all menus and extras, you will also need first VTS_07_0.VOB and .IFO files since this is actualy menu.

Funny think was that when I burned full version I was able to select wide or full version and it played. With wide, only wide worked.

  5. if i remeber correctly i do not have the movie in front of me, though i ripped the widescreen and it was numero 7, if you leave the menus then get vts youll still have the menus option just wont play the missing vob's.
