I have a bunch of Music videos I've recorded off TV over the years and I've decided to put them into Mpg's and burn them to CD.
This is what I have to use:
B&W G3 350 with 1 gig ram running 0S 9.22
ATI Xclaim 128 VR with Xclaim TV
Cleaner 5
Quicktime Pro 6
The method I've used so far is using the ATI Video Player software, I capture the video to Quicktime Movie Format (about 700MB for a 4 minute video).
I then use Quicktime Pro to clean up the start and end of the file, again saving in quicktime movie.
I then use Cleaner to convert/compress to MPEG, using its VCD MPEG quality setting.(30-40MB final size)
It's a lengthy process. I typicaly prep a bunch of the quicktime format videos then batch Clean them overnight.
Can anyone suggest a better system/process to use?
