  1. Ok I'm no newbie... but this is my first time that I CANT rip the movie...

The DVD is Winterwar R2(Finnish war movie)... I just cant get it to hard drive... I have been using latest DVD Decrypter and Smartripper and both failed... DVD Decrypter couldnt find the key? And Smartripper did rip the movie to the HDD but the vob's are useless(picture is all black?)...

I have also try to move files directly to HDD(if it's not crypted?)...Those files wont work...?

My last option was to use Vstrip... it only rip one vob(size 3.5Mb???)

I have also another Finnish war movie that has exactly the same problem?
(There is no scartches in the disc)

Did Finnish filmindustry really made so good copy protection that it cant be encrypted?

    Ripping gurus please help...

    Thanks...

  2. It could be. It sounds like you've done this before but I just wanna make sure that you actually PLAYED the DVD on the computer using your DVD playing software before ripping the data. The player needs to decrypt the copyprotection for the software to rip it.

it sounds like they are using a non-normal but allowable CSS key sequence.

you may need to change things under the "CSS" tab in DVD Decrypter.

They have have the keycheck every chapter instead of every vob.
