i need to purchase a new VCR to hook up to my Winnov Videum 1000 plus card. I have several older VHS tapes and my current VCR is low end. Any suggestions for a new one. I need one that will put out a good strong signal for the capture card. And be able to handle 2, 4 and 6 hour speeds.

I would suggest a S-VHS which outputs a s-video signal which is the best quality for VHS and capturing . I think JVC makes them around $130, I'm not sure though.

If you play normal VHS in an SVHS player you still only get normal VHS quality, if your capturing from normal VHS you don't need SVHS
