NeroVision Express is the easiest program I have found so far to create menus and chapters, but I was wondering, if you have a file that has already been encoded to MPEG-1 format and you divide it into chapters, do you have to reencode the file when you burn the VCD? I use PowerDirector Pro to split the file in half and encode it from AVI to MPEG, because it encodes twice as fast as NeroVision, but my PowerDirector Pro continually encounters an error during the burning of the VCD. I tried simply trimming the entire video file with NeroVision, but the audio was no longer in sync with the video. Is there a program I could use to simply split the AVI video down to the exact frame without encoding it to MPEG and then creating chapters and converting/burning it with NeroVision? Could I create chapters and menus without having to reencode the entire video in NeroVision? Could I split the AVI video with NeroVision, not just move the ending point of it, so that the audio and video will be in sync? Or, alternately, is there a program I could use besides NeroVision to create menus and chapters with an already encoded file without having to reencode it? Any help would be very much appreciated!
