Hi!
I have some files in a nice tv aspect ratio... [4:3]
but lately i got some widescreen aspect ratio DivX files [16:9]
how can i play them in a normal tv aspect ratio but without "long heads" of the actors in the film?

You have 3 options.
Play it letterboxed with black bars at top and bottom, this is how the film should look. No distortion and none of the picture missing.
Play it as you are playing it. It will fill the whole screen but the picture will be distorted.
Crop the sides of the movie to change the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3. You will obviously loose part of the picture using this option.
