    When I burn this widescreen mpg as a VCD in Nero, the formatting is lots, and I get a *squished* picture...anyone know how to burn it as widescreen?

    if it's to be a vcd, you're going to have to letterbox it. are you using tmpgenc? unless you want to create an uncompressed avi and letterbox it "manually" in virtualdub, you'll have to use tmpgenc. in the advanced tab in tmpgenc, put the source aspect ratio to 16:9 and video arrange method to "full screen (keep aspect ratio)". then encode as usual. should be nicely letterboxed.
